Sell FreeStyle Test Strips for Cash
Yes. Sealed FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle InsuLinx test strips in their original boxes are bought for cash, by mail from any US state or through a local buyer. FreeStyle strips are among the most requested brands, so a sealed box that no longer matches your meter has an easy route out of the cupboard.
Cash For Test Strips USA is an independent buyer. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Abbott Laboratories in any way. Which FreeStyle products are accepted
Boxes must be sealed and in original retail packaging, in 50-count or 100-count sizes.
FreeStyle Lite
- FreeStyle Lite 50ct
- FreeStyle Lite 100ct
FreeStyle InsuLinx
- FreeStyle InsuLinx 50ct
- FreeStyle InsuLinx 100ct
FreeStyle strips are sold for specific meters, so the front of the box should show the product name and count. A photo of the front panel is enough to describe what you have. If your strips are for a FreeStyle Libre sensor system rather than a finger-stick meter, the Libre sensor page is the place to look. What to photograph and how to send it.
Two ways to sell: mail-in or local
Mailing FreeStyle strips works the same from any state. A kit brings you a prepaid USPS label; you pack the sealed boxes snugly and hand the parcel in at any post office. Payment is sent when the boxes have arrived. Start a mail-in kit.
Some people prefer a same-day exchange, in which case the buyer directory gives local buyers in order of distance from your ZIP, each with its list of brands. Want to ask something first? Call or text 518-278-6008.
When FreeStyle strips go unused
A meter that is retired in favor of a newer model leaves strips behind that only fit the old one. FreeStyle Lite and InsuLinx strips are made for their own meters, so a change of meter usually means a change of strip.
Automatic pharmacy refills cause the same problem. A standing order keeps shipping until the prescription is changed, and the extra boxes pile up while the new brand gets used.
If you are moving to a continuous monitor and have FreeStyle Libre sensors as well, both can be quoted together: Sell FreeStyle Libre sensors.
What is not accepted
Opened boxes are not bought, and supplies that came through a government-covered program cannot be resold. Lancets and meters are not part of this page. Only the FreeStyle Lite and InsuLinx lines listed above are covered here. What falls outside the list.
